Deli Manager - Parksville

Choices Markets Parksville currently has an opening for a people-oriented leader with strong communication skills to join our team as a Deli Manager.

The Deli Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Deli Department while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, safety, and presentation. The role oversees and supports team members, delegates daily tasks, provides training and coaching, maintains department standards, and ensures company policies and procedures are followed. The Deli Manager is also responsible for department organization, inventory and ordering, merchandising, product rotation, waste and shrink control, food safety and sanitation, and creating a positive and productive team environment. The position works closely with Store Management to support department performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and overall store goals.

The ideal person for this position will:

• be an outstanding communicator with excellent writing skills;
• be service-oriented and enjoy responding to customer and business needs;
• be creative, intuitive and willing to share ideas;
• be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel;
• be experienced in ordering and inventory control;
• be able to juggle multiple demands with a calm demeanor, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines;
• be willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends; and
• be passionate about food, and take pride in the high quality and selection that Choices has to offer its customers.
