Original job description

At Christian Education Benefit Solutions, our work has a purpose: helping Christian education in Canada thrive. We provide health and pension benefits and services designed specifically by and for the Canadian Christian education community. With decades of experience, we understand the unique needs of Christian educational organizations and the people who serve within them.

When you join Christian Education Benefit Solutions, you become part of a team whose work supports Christian education communities across Canada. Our Christian faith is integral to who we are, how we serve, and how we communicate.

Position Overview

In this hands-on creative communications role, you will help bring our mission, work, and story to life through clear, engaging, accurate, and visually compelling content. As Mission Communications & Content Coordinator, you will report to the Manager of Mission Advancement & Growth and create and coordinate communications across digital, print, social media, newsletter, website, presentation, and conference channels.

Because this role helps shape the words, imagery, and stories through which Christian Education Benefit Solutions expresses its identity, the successful candidate must be able to communicate authentically from a Christian worldview and exercise sound editorial judgement. Affirming and adhering to the organization’s Statement of Faith is an occupational requirement of the position.

Your focus will be hands-on writing and content creation, using Microsoft tools and Canva to produce communications materials. You will coordinate multiple deliverables and translate technical information into accessible communications within an execution-focused role. This is not a sales, business-development, prospecting, or relationship-management position.

What You Will Do

· Create, edit, proofread, and format content for Plan updates, newsletters, websites, social media, presentations, conference materials, and organizational collateral.

· Create mission-aligned, devotional, biblical, and explicitly Christian content when required, using language appropriate to the Christian educational community.

· Translate technical information from subject-matter experts into clear, accurate, plain-language communications.

· Create polished and accessible visual materials using Canva and established templates.

· Maintain brand standards, organizational voice, Christian identity, and approved messaging across channels.

· Coordinate website updates, social content, monthly newsletter production, content calendars, and communications requests from internal departments.

· Coordinate timelines, reviews, approvals, revisions, vendors, promotional materials, and conference communications.

· Contribute ideas and stories that demonstrate the organization’s purpose and strengthen connection with the Christian educational community.

· Participate actively and respectfully in staff devotions, prayer, and the Christian life of the organization.

What You Bring

· Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, graphic communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Approximately one to three years of relevant communications, content, marketing, or design experience is preferred.

· Strong writing, editing, proofreading, storytelling, and plain-language communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to create polished visual communications using Canva, Microsoft tools, and/or other design software applications.

· Experience producing content across multiple channels, such as websites, newsletters, social media, presentations, and print.

· Ability to organize multiple communications requests, track reviews and deadlines, and check content and materials carefully for accuracy and consistency.

· Genuine alignment with our Christian mission and Statement of Faith, with the ability to write and communicate authentically from a Christian worldview.

· A collaborative, service-oriented approach grounded in integrity, truthfulness, stewardship, and respect.

Compensation and Benefits

As you bring your writing, creativity, and communications skills to our mission, we offer a competitive salary of $49,000 to $65,000. Our benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, along with a pension plan with matching employer contributions of 8.05% of salary.

Our in-office team works a four-day week, with flexibility in shift timing to support work-life balance. We also offer a flexible approach to paid vacation that supports rest and renewal, paid holidays, and opportunities for professional development.

This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position at our North City Office in Edmonton, AB. The role is 36 hours per week over a four-day work week, with flexibility in how those hours are scheduled within our office hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. To apply, submit your resume through the job posting site by November 20, 2026.
