What you’ll be doing

You will focus on the strategic development and delivery of Brand-related initiatives, including support for enterprise wide brand and purpose-building programs. As a Manager, Brand Marketing you will work closely with business partners across the enterprise to support the planning, development, and execution of marketing content, campaigns and initiatives in order to support key strategic pillars of the CIBC brand and employer brand.

The Brand team you’ll support specializes in storytelling to support enterprise objectives, leading the sourcing and development of real client and team member stories for both external marketing and internal employee engagement initiatives.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

Creative Development – support the design and implementation, including the creative development, of brand marketing content. Collaborating with your team, both internal and external agencies/production partners, business partners and channel partners, you’ll build content to support successful marketing campaigns that generate desired business results and impact. You will also be responsible for tracking results and conducting post-campaign learnings with key partners (agencies, business and channel partners).
Project Management – help plan and implement marketing communication initiatives for the CIBC brand, acting as a key point of contact for the assigned initiatives. You will manage the creative process in a large, multi-level matrix organization with several layers for approvals. You have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and maintain balance between the tactical focus on implementation and the strategic focus for new marketing opportunities.
Relationship Management – Know and understand the business. Build and develop effective relationships with key business contacts, channel partners and agencies to become true partner and expert advisor to the business.

Who you are

You can demonstrate experience in an agency or a client environment with proven experience in managing creative and marketing communications processes for integrated campaigns.
You have a passion for storytelling with experience in the sourcing and creative development of stories (master brand and/or employer brand). You have experience in interviewing, are a strong written communicator, and have experience in video production.
