What you'll be doing

The Risk Management Systems and Quantitative Risk group within Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) is responsible for strengthening the methodologies, models, and analytical solutions that support effective counterparty credit risk measurement. As the Director, Counterparty Credit Risk Methodology, you'll report to the Senior Director, Counterparty Credit Risk Methodology and play a key role in the development, enhancement, implementation, and governance of counterparty credit risk methodologies and supporting risk measurement solutions. You'll help advance capabilities used for counterparty trading limit monitoring, exposure measurement, and regulatory capital, while ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory expectations. In this role, you'll partner closely with teams across Front Office, Risk, Technology, Model Validation, Finance, and other stakeholder groups to maintain a strong risk measurement framework and control environment. You'll bring strong quantitative expertise, hands-on technical capability, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple teams. Depending on team structure, this role may also include direct people leadership and coaching responsibilities.

How you'll succeed

Deliver quantitative solutions - Lead the design, development, enhancement, and implementation of methodologies and models used for counterparty credit risk measurement, derivatives exposure analytics, trading limit monitoring, and regulatory capital. Ensure methodologies are analytically sound, fit for purpose, and responsive to business and regulatory change.
Strengthen governance - Manage the full model and methodology lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, documentation, performance monitoring, recalibration, remediation, and ongoing review. Ensure deliverables meet internal governance standards, model risk management requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Drive complex initiatives - Lead cross-functional workstreams to enhance methodologies, improve analytical infrastructure, and strengthen risk measurement capabilities. Coordinate across teams to assess impacts, resolve dependencies, and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
Partner across the business - Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Capital Markets, Risk Management, Technology, Finance, Model Validation, Audit, and Compliance. Work across functional boundaries to support business priorities, regulatory commitments, and strategic objectives.
Communicate with impact - Translate complex quantitative concepts, methodology decisions, and model-related risks into clear, concise, and actionable insights for a range of audiences, including senior leadership and governance forums.
Support team success - Apply strong programming and analytical skills to support model development, prototyping, testing, process improvements, and analytical tooling. Where applicable, provide coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to junior team members to help build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Who you are

You have deep quantitative expertise. You have an advanced degree such as a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field including mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, economics, physics, or a related discipline. You have strong knowledge of derivatives pricing, valuation, exposure measurement, and counterparty credit risk methodologies.
You have strong programming skills. You can effectively use coding to solve complex quantitative problems, automate analysis, and streamline analytical workflows. Proficiency in Python is required; experience with C# and Object-Oriented Programming is a strong asset.
You bring relevant experience. You have 5+ years of experience in quantitative risk modeling, counterparty credit risk methodology, or a related quantitative risk function, ideally within Capital Markets Risk or a similar environment.
You understand model governance. You have experience supporting or leading model development, testing, implementation, and performance monitoring, with familiarity with model governance and control frameworks.
You're an effective communicator and collaborator. You can explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while managing multiple priorities and interdependent deliverables across teams.
You are a caring and accountable leader. You have experience developing and implementing strategic team goals. You have experience coaching employees and inspiring successful team performance.
