What you’ll be doing

As a Procurement Associate Co-op Student, you will be responsible for assisting with communication with suppliers and assembling CIBC’s supplier contracts. You will learn how to balance risks and requirements while gaining insight into CIBC’s third-party supplier risk management process. You will be trained to assemble lower-risk contracts using CIBC’s models and templates. You will also be asked to create analytics and reporting. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details regarding your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed during your interview.

Important information

We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, French proficiency, MS Office). Our goal during the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and to give you the opportunity to learn more about us.
You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role.
Recruitment timeline: Application review – October/November; Interviews – October/November; Offers – November.
Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages), a cover letter (no more than 1 page), and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded into the Resume section of the application as one PDF document.
8 months - January - August 2027

How you’ll succeed

Drafting Contracts - You write in a simple and clear manner. You are interested in contracts and want to learn more about the impact of contract language.

Detail Oriented - You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help inform your decision-making.
