What you'll be doing
The Product team at Simplii Financial builds simple, intuitive experiences that put our clients first. As a Product Manager, you'll be embedded in a squad where you'll contribute to meaningful product work across discovery, delivery, and iteration. You'll help define what gets built and why, maintain a healthy backlog, and partner closely with designers, engineers, and analysts to move work forward with clarity and purpose. You'll support customer-focused decision-making by connecting insights, priorities, and delivery outcomes. In this role, you'll continue developing your product instincts and building the skills to become a confident, independent product professional.
At Simplii we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
- Discovery and customer insight - Contribute to structured discovery, analyze customer data to identify patterns, and help build business cases that connect client needs to product opportunities.
- Backlog and delivery support - Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog and write well-defined user stories with precise acceptance criteria. Partner with technology and design teams to keep delivery on track and identify when work has drifted from the original client intent.
- Outcome awareness - Track the metrics that matter to your squad's work and build your understanding of what they mean for clients and the business. Connect what is delivered to measurable outcomes and raise questions when the data does not tell a clear story.
- Cross-functional collaboration - Work collaboratively across design, engineering, analytics, and operations to build strong relationships and contribute to shared squad goals.
- Stakeholder communication - Communicate clearly and consistently with your squad and key partners, translating product complexity into clear, accessible updates for broader audiences.
Who you are
- You have relevant experience. You bring 3-5 years of experience in product management or a closely related field, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to product delivery in a cross-functional environment. Experience in financial services, financial technology, or another regulated industry is an asset.
- You put our clients first. You start from the client's perspective and keep it at the centre of your work as priorities evolve. You ask who the work is for and why it matters, and you bring that focus into squad discussions.
- You give meaning to data. You ask thoughtful questions, explore the evidence, and use insights to shape your perspective. You are building your ability to turn information into clear, informed product decisions.
- You know that details matter. You review user stories carefully, think through edge cases, and notice when something does not align with the intended client experience. Your critical thinking helps improve the quality of delivery.
- You're motivated by collective success. You work well with cross-functional partners and contribute to a team environment built on trust, accountability, and shared outcomes.
- You act like an owner. You take accountability for your scope, follow through on commitments, and proactively raise risks or ask for support when needed.
- You live your values. You bring high standards, genuine care to your relationships, and want to grow with an employer that shares your values and brings out your best.
