What You'll Be Doing

CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy are committed to delivering excellence in relationship-based advice, service, and product solutions that meet our clients' needs - spanning self-directed investors to high net worth private wealth individuals and institutional clients.

Reporting to the Director, Fee-Based Integration, Wealth Solutions, the Senior Consultant drives adoption of fee-based solutions and the CIBC Unified Account (UA) platform across CIBC Wood Gundy branches in Western Ontario. Through regular branch visits and trusted advisor relationships, you will translate portfolio management concepts into practical workflows, influence practice evolution, and deliver measurable growth in fee-based assets.

The CIBC Unified Account (UA) platform is the next-generation portfolio management and trading system for Fee-Based Solutions at Wood Gundy - providing a single account solution that holds multiple investment sleeves and automates rebalancing and day-to-day cashflow management. You will serve as the subject matter expert for this platform in your region, accelerating its adoption through consultative engagement, change leadership, and hands-on advisor support.

This highly visible role blends analytics, consulting, and change leadership. Success is measured by sustained increases in UA and fee-based adoption, stronger head office collaboration, and actionable field feedback that improves the advisor experience and supports the ongoing evolution of the UA platform.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $102,700 to $133,200.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How You'll Succeed

Senior Consultant: Act as a strategic partner to Wood Gundy advisory teams, leading forward-looking conversations focused on portfolio management, practice evolution, and scalability. Serve as the key UA subject matter expert for Investment Advisors, Branch Management, and internal Wealth Management partners. Build deep, trust-based relationships through consistent presence, high-quality service, and follow-through - supporting advisors from initial engagement through full implementation of fee-based solutions.
Business Development: Use consultative sales techniques to engage advisors, identify practice needs, and move them through a structured adoption process - from awareness to implementation. Proactively analyze advisors' books of business to uncover data-driven opportunities and develop strategic proposals. Build action plans with Investment Advisors to optimize business practices through increased use of the UA program and fee-based offerings. Monitor regional fee-based targets with the objective of increasing revenue, growing market share, and reducing operational costs.Change Management & Advisor Influence: Apply change management principles to guide advisors and branch leadership through transitions - building buy-in, overcoming resistance, and sustaining momentum. Use persuasion, structured communication, and tailored engagement strategies to influence behavioral change at the branch level and accelerate adoption of the UA program.
Programs and Tool Development: Collaborate with the Director, Fee-Based Integration and Wood Gundy branch leadership to develop and implement programs, tools, and best-in-class portfolio management strategies that grow fee-based assets. Partner with Practice Management, Training & Development, Head Office partners, and vendors to build advisor capability. Create and enhance resources, tools, and materials - including presentation content, Excel tools, and explanatory guides - to support advisory teams in communicating concepts and driving adoption.
UA Program Support: Promote UA best practices, reinforce benefits, and quarterback resolution of UA-related challenges by coordinating with Technology, Operations, and internal partners. Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the UA platform by sharing field themes, advisor feedback, and improvement opportunities. Support the phased regional roll-out of the UA program in close partnership with Change Management leads and the Fee-Based Solutions team. .

Who You Are

You have deep industry expertise. You bring well-developed knowledge of portfolio management and fee-based solutions as they relate to the retail brokerage business, along with 8 to 10 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Having the additional professional accreditations (CFP, CIM, CFA), is considered an asset.
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and turning information into action. You bring strong analytical, business, and financial acumen - with the ability to interpret data and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.

You are highly organized, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines independently. You have a strong awareness of business issues, processes, and outcomes as they impact Wood Gundy and its clients. Regular travel across Western Ontario is a core requirement of this role, with frequent in-branch visits to CIBC Wood Gundy locations expected on a weekly basis
·You build trust and drive outcomes. You connect with advisors and branch leadership through respect, authenticity, and consistent follow-through. You have superior communication and presentation skills - both 1:1 and in groups - and you know how to translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
You have strong technical skills. You have advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and other MS Office tools and enjoy working with data. Having formal sales training or experience with a consultative selling methodology (e.g., Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling); demonstrated ability to apply change management frameworks to influence advisor or client behaviour; and familiarity with CGI Wealth360, SS&C, and Broadridge are assets.
