What You'll Be Doing
Our Cloud Engineering Transformation (CET) Mainframe Engineering team is responsible for delivering stable, secure, and resilient mainframe infrastructure that supports critical business operations. As a Senior z/OS System Programmer, you’ll report to the Director, Mainframe Engineering and provide technical leadership across complex z/OS operating system upgrades, maintenance rollouts, and infrastructure initiatives within a geographically dispersed parallel sysplex (GDPS) multi-site environment. You’ll help ensure our environments remain reliable and compliant with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, internal partners, and external vendors to assess risks, recommend resiliency and integrity improvements, and support the availability of our hardware and software assets in line with service level agreements. You’ll also contribute to the growth of the Mainframe Engineering team by sharing your expertise, supporting development, and fostering strong collaboration across peer groups.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
