How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to Sr. Manager, Optical Engineering, as part of the R&D Photonics wafer level testing team in the High-Speed Photonic Component (HSPC) organization, as a Silicon Photonics Test Engineer, you will design and validate opto-electrical test algorithms to characterize our next generation of high-speed transmitters and receivers, taking into account performance, cost and reliability requirements. You will play a critical role in the product development cycle, including test algorithm development, data analysis, and scaling from the prototype phases until the transfer to high-volume production. · Characterize new design circuits for our next generation photonics, collaborating with designers to optimize and improve their designs by relying on your experimental results.

· Develop fully automated test algorithms for receivers and transmitters at wafer level, and deploy these tests to a production environment for high volume manufacturing

· Develop automated RF test routines up to 250GHz on coherent receivers and transmitters, as well as TIAs and DRVs.

· Design test stations: selecting instruments, probing strategies, define optical and electrical routing, etc…

· You will actively contribute to continuous improvements (performances, yields, etc), along the whole product life cycle.

· You will partner with other functional teams for the design of prototypes and products based on our photonics platforms.

· You will monitor, document and communicate advancements and raise potential issues that may have influence on target specs, schedule and budget.

The Must Haves:

· Masters or Ph.D. in Optics, Physics, Physics Engineering, Electrical Engineer, or related discipline with proven experience with silicon photonics circuits.

· Experience in test engineering role with years of industry experience.

· Proficiency in Matlab, Python or C# for the design of automated test sequences

· Knowledge of passive and active photonic integration circuits.

· Written and oral fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

· Hands-on experience related to the characterization of photonic integrated components and circuits including DC and RF test methods for active and passive devices.

· Knowledge of Optical Communications Systems.

Pay Range: The salary range for this role is $84, 700 - $135, 300

Dans ce rôle, vous concevrez et validerez des algorithmes de tests optoélectriques afin de caractériser notre prochaine génération d’émetteurs et de récepteurs haute vitesse, tout en tenant compte des exigences en matière de performance, de coûts et de fiabilité. Vous jouerez un rôle essentiel tout au long du cycle de développement des produits, notamment dans le développement d’algorithmes de test, de l’analyse de données et pour le déploiement de ces tests dans un environnement à haut volume. Vous serez impliqué à partir des phases de prototypage jusqu’au transfert vers la production à haut volume.

· Caractériser de nouveaux circuits pour notre prochaine génération de composants photoniques et collaborer avec les concepteurs afin d’optimiser et d’améliorer leurs designs en vous appuyant sur les résultats expérimentaux.

· Développer des algorithmes de test entièrement automatisés pour les récepteurs et les émetteurs sur wafer, puis déployer ces essais dans un environnement de production à grand volume.

· Développer des routines de tests RF automatisés allant jusqu’à 250 GHz pour nos récepteurs et émetteurs cohérents, ainsi que pour des TIAs et DRVs.

· Concevoir des stations de test : sélectionner les instruments, les stratégies de test, définir les schémas optiques et électriques, etc…

· Contribuer activement aux initiatives d’amélioration continue, (amélioration des performances, du rendement, etc…), tout au long du cycle de vie des produits.

· Collaborer avec d’autres équipes fonctionnelles à la conception de prototypes et de produits basés sur nos plateformes photoniques.

· Assurer le suivi des progrès, les documenter, les communiquer, et signaler tout enjeu potentiel susceptible d’avoir une incidence sur les spécifications visées, l’échéancier ou le budget.

Les essentiels

· Maîtrise ou doctorat en optique, en physique, en génie physique, en génie électrique ou dans une discipline connexe, ainsi qu’une expérience dans le domaine des circuits photoniques sur silicium.

· Expérience dans un rôle d’ingénieur de test, avec une expérience pertinente dans l’industrie.
