Job Responsibilities:

Design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment supports, platforms, pipe racks, and other industrial structures.
Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.
Design and assess equipment foundations and structures subjected to operational, environmental, and equipment loads.
Review vendor drawings, equipment loads, design criteria, and technical information and incorporate requirements into structural designs.
Coordinate with piping, mechanical, civil, geotechnical, electrical, and other disciplines to develop integrated and constructible solutions.
Perform site investigations and assessments of existing structures and develop recommendations for modifications, rehabilitation, or strengthening.
Provide construction support, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, field changes, and resolution of site issues.
Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, constructability reviews, and client/project coordination meetings.
Manage assigned structural work packages to meet technical, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers and contribute to the development of safe, practical, and cost-effective structural solutions.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Alberta, with the ability and willingness to obtain professional engineering licensure in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Minimum 4 years of experience in structural design and engineering.
Strong background in structural engineering, including the analysis and design of various structural systems.
Proficiency with CSI software, particularly: SAP2000 (essential) and SAFE (essential)
Experience with IDEA-StatiCa is considered a strong asset.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness and flexibility to travel and conduct long-distance site inspections, which may extend for one week or longer as required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

Requirements
