Refrigeration Apprentice

Role Responsibilities

• Provide mobile service support to our customer base across the GTA.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and assist with repairs to industrial refrigeration systems and equipment.

• Carry out preventative maintenance within our customer base.
• Work both independently and alongside experienced technicians.
• Identify and communicate required repairs, maintenance, and potential equipment upgrades.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
• Follow all health and safety requirements and procedures.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313A) Apprentice, 1st through 5th year.
• Must currently be a member of UA Local 787.
• Previous hands-on troubleshooting and service experience with refrigeration or HVAC/R equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an experienced technical team.
• Commitment to safety and providing strong customer service.

Additional Assets

• Experience servicing industrial refrigeration systems.
• Experience with ammonia and/or CO₂ refrigeration systems.
• Gas Fitter license.
• Controls experience.
