Meet Circuit Stream
Where big futures start. Circuit Stream is building the defining youth enrichment brand in North America. We create pre-university summer camps that give young people the chance to explore what they might want to do next, from AI, engineering, medicine and business to psychology, sports, outdoor adventure and more. Through partnerships with leading universities and industry experts, we turn those interests into hands-on experiences that build skills, confidence, and open doors to future opportunities. We have big ambitions to serve over 10,000+ students a year. Getting there means moving quickly, trying new things, learning from what works, and giving great people real ownership. If you’re ambitious about where your own career can go, and excited to help young people discover where theirs might lead, you’ll thrive here.
We’re looking for an engineering practitioner, educator, or advanced engineering student who can bring engineering to life for teenagers and create a classroom where students are excited to participate, experiment, and learn.

Why You’ll Love This Role
You’ll introduce students ages 13–17 to engineering through hands-on challenges, discussion, and project work. The curriculum, lesson resources, and activities are provided - your role is to make them engaging, accessible, and memorable while helping every student make progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver Circuit Stream’s provided Introduction to Engineering curriculum with energy, clarity, and strong classroom facilitation.
- Guide students through hands-on activities and projects, explain engineering concepts in beginner-friendly ways, and ensure learners are meeting the course learning objectives.
- Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment and use appropriate behavior-management techniques to reinforce expectations, rules, and safety requirements.
- Monitor student understanding, provide helpful feedback and support, and communicate concerns or learner needs to the Circuit Stream team.
- Supervise students during scheduled indoor and outdoor activities outside classroom instruction each day, helping maintain engagement, appropriate behavior, and safety.
What We’re Looking For
- You genuinely enjoy working with teenagers and know how to keep a group engaged, participating, and excited to learn.
- Professional, academic, or substantial project experience in engineering, engineering technology, or a related STEM field.
- A completed or in-progress degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related STEM discipline.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to make technical concepts clear and approachable for beginners.
- Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camp, or youth-program experience is strongly preferred.
- You are dependable, prepared, receptive to feedback, and comfortable taking responsibility for student behavior and safety.
Who This Is For
- Someone who gets energy from helping teenagers learn and is comfortable being active, visible, and engaged throughout the day.
- A practical teacher who brings provided lessons to life through questions, demonstrations, encouragement, and hands-on participation.
- Someone who can be warm and approachable while still setting clear boundaries and maintaining a focused, safe learning environment.
- A curious engineering generalist who is comfortable supporting beginners across several introductory engineering topics.
- Someone who is available to teach on weekdays during the summer for all course dates listed.
Who This Is Not For
- If you enjoy engineering but do not enjoy spending your day actively working with teenagers.
- If your preferred teaching style is primarily lecture-based or you expect students to stay engaged without active facilitation.
- If you become frustrated when beginners need extra explanation, encouragement, or redirection.
- If you are uncomfortable enforcing classroom expectations, supervising students outside the classroom, or taking responsibility for safety.
What’s In It For You
- The opportunity to introduce teenagers to engineering and help them explore future academic and career paths.
- A complete curriculum, lesson resources, activities, instructor training, and support from Circuit Stream’s Education team.
- A community of instructors and educators to connect with and learn from.
- A rewarding summer role where you can strengthen your teaching and mentorship skills while making a visible impact on students.
