Original job description

Clarity is redefining how private companies and their shareholders access liquidity. Through its institutional-grade platform, Clarity brings together buyers, sellers, and issuers to facilitate secondary transactions in venture-backed, pre-IPO companies, introducing efficiency, transparency, and standardization to an otherwise opaque asset class. Recognized as one of Canada's fastest-growing companies and backed by leading U.S. investors, Clarity is profitable, well-capitalized, and building a high-performance team to meet growing demand and pursue new market opportunities. Interested in learning more about life at Clarity? Check out our careers page to see how you can grow with us! Clarity’s Private Fund Solutions team provides fundraising and liquidity solutions to fund managers (GPs) and their investors (LPs). Our long-term vision is to become the central operating system for the private fund ecosystem: a single venue where GPs and LPs can raise capital, track their portfolios, and access pre-IPO liquidity. As an Associate, you’ll work closely with the Head of Private Fund Solutions to build relationships with GPs who have access to the most sought-after late-stage, venture-backed companies, and help them raise capital and access liquidity through Clarity’s marketplace. In this role, your responsibilities would include: Sourcing and qualifying new GP relationships through high-volume outbound outreach (cold calls, email and LinkedIn), focusing on SPV managers and emerging venture GPs. Pitching GPs on Clarity’s capital raising and liquidity solutions for themselves and their investors. Partnering with our institutional and HNWI coverage teams to bring fund opportunities to buyers. Preparing external-facing pitch decks and partnership proposals. Required skills: 2 to 5 years in sales and trading, investment banking, private placements, management consulting, fund administration, or a related finance role. A track record of generating leads from institutional investors through high-volume outbound outreach, including cold calling. A working understanding of how VC funds and SPVs are structured. Strong written and verbal communication, including experience creating institutional-quality pitch materials. The ability to prioritize across multiple client relationships and live transactions in a fast-paced environment. FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations, or the ability to obtain them within 90 days of joining. Preferred experience: Hands-on experience with the formation, diligence, or administration of VC funds and SPVs. A front-office origination role covering institutional clients. Existing relationships with GPs in the venture ecosystem. Experience in VC fund secondaries. Benefits & Perks: Opportunity to participate in ownership of a rapidly growing company through our employee stock option plan. Comprehensive 100% employer-paid health & dental premiums and a Health/Personal Spending Account for Canadian employees. (An employer-subsidized benefits program is available for US-based team members). If you are based in Vancouver, enjoy a dedicated desk in our Vancouver, BC HQ, in the heart of downtown, with a fridge stocked with healthy snacks and drinks, an onsite gym, and a gorgeous rooftop amenity. Vancouver based employees enjoy a $20-per-day commuter benefit for every day you work in our downtown HQ. An engaging social calendar, including bi-weekly catered lunches, bi-weekly “Friday bar,” team workouts, annual summer party, and holiday party, two “onsite” all-team retreats each year, semi-annual team-building events, and Clarity Women’s Network events. Significant opportunities for growth into team leadership and management roles. Entrepreneurial culture and a small and dynamic team. Sponsorship, immigration, and relocation for exceptional candidates. Clarity is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to succeed.
