About Clash Nexus AI

Clash Nexus AI is an AI-powered construction technology platform that helps contractors, engineers, consultants, and preconstruction teams identify drawing conflicts, missing information, coordination issues, specification gaps, and constructability risks before they become RFIs, delays, rework, or change orders.

We already have a live production platform, active customers, and an existing codebase. We are now looking for a Founding CTO to take ownership of the technology and help scale the Company.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a management-only CTO position.

The Founding CTO will work directly with the Founder & CEO and lead the technical vision, architecture, reliability, security, AI strategy, infrastructure, and engineering roadmap of Clash Nexus AI.

You will be expected to write and review code, improve the existing platform, solve production issues, and build the engineering team as the Company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the existing production codebase, architecture, infrastructure, and technical roadmap
• Lead full-stack development across frontend and backend systems
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Improve AI accuracy, reliability, monitoring, and evaluation
• Manage AI/ML, OCR, and third-party technology integrations
• Establish strong testing, CI/CD, security, deployment, and release practices
• Improve scalability, performance, and technical reliability
• Support customer demos, enterprise evaluations, and technical diligence
• Recruit and manage engineers and technical contractors as the Company grows
• Maintain technical documentation and reduce key-person dependency

Required Experience

• Strong professional full-stack development experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Python
• Experience building scalable SaaS or cloud-based applications
• Strong backend, API, database, and software architecture experience
• Experience with modern frontend technologies
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML, LLMs, APIs, data pipelines, or document-processing systems
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and production deployments
• Strong understanding of security and customer-data protection
• Startup, founding engineer, technical lead, senior engineer, or CTO experience is highly preferred
• Construction, AEC, BIM, OCR, computer vision, or document-AI experience is an asset

Compensation

This is initially an equity-based Founding CTO opportunity.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the long-term value created by Clash Nexus AI through performance-based equity.

The Company intends to transition the role into a salaried executive position as agreed Company milestones are achieved and the business continues to grow.

Full equity, compensation, and milestone terms will be discussed with selected candidates and documented in the formal employment and equity agreements.

This role is best suited for someone who wants to be both a hands-on engineer and a technical leader, with the ambition to build and lead the engineering organization as Clash Nexus AI scales.
