Class8 is building a suite of products to help trucking companies better run their business, and help them connect with freight opportunities through brokerages and other data partners. Our team works with real-time, big data across thousands of trucks, and creates apps across multiple surface areas including mobile, desktop, and embedded vehicles.
Now we’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer, with an emphasis on front-end development, to help us scale fast.
In This Role, You Will:
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and document scalable web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on frontend architecture and user experience.
Build high-quality, maintainable frontend experiences while contributing to backend services and APIs as needed.
Write automated tests and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.
Uphold engineering standards through code reviews, profiling, testing, and continuous improvements to code quality and performance.
Leverage AI effectively to accelerate development, improve engineering workflows, and streamline processes such as PR reviews, code cleanup, documentation, and testing.
Research emerging technologies and frontend best practices, and proactively advocate for improvements to our development practices, architecture, and user experience.
You’re Right For The Role If You Have These Skills:
Required:
3+ years of full stack development experience
Proficient with ReactJS/NextJS, TypeScript, React Native and Python as well as modern libraries and tooling
Proven experience in developing web and mobile applications
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and design patterns
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
A passion for continuous improvement and finding better ways to build, ship, and maintain software
AI-first mindset with the ability to use AI effectively to accelerate development while maintaining ownership and understanding of the code you produce
Comfortable using AI to improve engineering workflows and processes, including PR reviews, code cleanup, documentation, testing, and other repetitive tasks
Bonus If You Have:
Experience with building browser extensions
