Original job description

Class8 is building a suite of products to help trucking companies better run their business, and help them connect with freight opportunities through brokerages and other data partners. Our team works with real-time, big data across thousands of trucks, and creates apps across multiple surface areas including mobile, desktop, and embedded vehicles. In This Role, You Will: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and document scalable, high-quality web and mobile applications with a strong focus on frontend architecture and user experience. Own frontend features and initiatives end-to-end, from technical planning and architecture through implementation, testing, and release. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering Leads, and other stakeholders to translate requirements and designs into high-quality experiences. Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural discussions, technical planning, and mentoring of other engineers. Identify technical improvements, refactoring opportunities, and areas where frontend architecture or development processes can be improved. Use an AI-first approach to development, leveraging AI to accelerate implementation while maintaining strong ownership, judgment, and understanding of the code produced. Use AI to improve engineering workflows and processes, including PR reviews, code cleanup, documentation, testing, and other repetitive or time-consuming tasks.
