Relief Cleaner

Join Our Team as a Relief Cleaner!

Are you flexible, reliable, and ready to work at different locations every day? Cleantech is looking for a motivated Relief Cleaner to provide cleaning coverage for our regular cleaning staff when they are sick, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can travel between different buildings, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. If you are adaptable, independent, and ready to work in different environments, we would love to hear from you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning coverage at different buildings and locations as needed.
• Replace regular cleaners who are sick, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable.
• Perform daily cleaning and janitorial duties according to company standards and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, hallways, lobbies, washrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Follow cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any site-related concerns.
• Adapt quickly to different buildings, cleaning routines, and client requirements.
• Travel between various locations based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle is an asset but not required. A company vehicle may be available.
• Willingness and ability to travel to different locations throughout the workday.
• Flexibility to work at different buildings depending on staffing needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
• Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.

Benefits & Compensation

• Hourly pay: $23–$24, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Monthly gas allowance provided in accordance with CRA guidelines, where applicable.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday.
• 8 hours per day, depending on the shift being covered.
