ClicCash Canada is hiring: Finance Operations Lead
Montreal, hybrid | 6-month contract with intent to convert to permanent
ABOUT US
ClicCash Canada builds payments technology for emerging markets: mobile wallets, cash-in/cash-out terminals, and the money movement and compliance systems behind them. Built for payment service providers and money services businesses in markets where cash still dominates, with our first deployment live in the Caribbean. We are an early-stage startup with a small team in Montreal and Antigua.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Operate
- Keep our money accounted for: cash management, reconciliations and month-end close
- Own the controls that keep customer funds safe
- Run payroll and payables, and be the main contact for our external accountants
Build
- Design our accounting structure
- Own burn, runway and forecasting models
- Extend our in-house AI finance tooling so manual work becomes automated checks
WHAT YOU BRING
- Degree in accounting, finance or a quantitative field. Recent grads welcome
- Strong Excel
- Strong numeracy and analytical thinking: you enjoy digging into the details until the numbers make sense
- Comfort with code, or a real drive to learn it. You'll use AI tools every day
- A control mindset: you document your work and you're comfortable having it checked
- Ownership: you spot a broken process and fix it without being asked
- Standard business hours
- English. Our banking partners, accountants and platforms operate in English
NICE TO HAVE
- On the CPA track
- Internship or co-op in accounting, audit, banking or fintech
- Startup or founder experience

Responsibilities
Build and operate the company’s finance function, including cash management, reconciliations, month-end close, customer-fund controls, payroll, and payables. Design the accounting structure, maintain burn-rate and runway forecasts, coordinate with external accountants, and extend AI finance tools to automate checks.
Requirements
A degree in accounting, finance, or a quantitative field is required; recent graduates are welcome. Candidates should have strong Excel, numeracy, and analytical skills, be comfortable with code or eager to learn, document their work carefully, take ownership of process improvements, and communicate in English.
