Original job description
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer who's excited about building systems that live at the edge of automation, AI, and web security. You'll thrive here if you're eager to learn, unafraid to dig deep into how platforms work, and ready to own large parts of our stack.
You'll be deploying and extending two of our growth agents:
RedRover: helps companies get cited by LLMs and rank across Google, ChatGPT, and forums, using AI personas, keyword and competitor monitoring, and content generated at scale.
Echos: mass-distributes short-form video across social platforms, managing fleets of profiles and the video pipeline behind millions of views.
This is a high-ownership role. You will not be handed tickets. You will be handed problems.
Compensation Range: C$75,000–C$110,000
Key Responsibilities
Ship full-stack features across RedRover and Echos, from Postgres schema through API to the dashboard UI
Own features end to end through the full software development lifecycle: scoping, design, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
Design and implement scalable systems powering hundreds of concurrent virtual browsers
Fine-tune and prompt engineer LLMs to generate human-like content across posts, comments, personas, and video scripts
Maintain and improve our video processing infrastructure (rendering, transcoding, captioning, publishing)
Instrument and debug production systems, including queue backlogs, failed jobs, and platform-side breakages
Tech Stack
You'll be working across:
Languages: TypeScript, Python
Backend: Node.js, REST APIs, webhooks, background workers and job queues
Database: PostgreSQL
Frontend: React / Next.js, Tailwind
Automation: Playwright
AI: Frontier model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and open-source models (Llama, Qwen, Mistral), plus prompt engineering, structured outputs, and evals
Integrations: Customer and third-party APIs, CRMs, analytics, and social platform APIs
Infrastructure: Docker, AWS, CI/CD
You don't need every one of these on day one. You do need to be the kind of person who picks up the missing ones fast, often while a customer is waiting.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 1–3 years of professional experience building and shipping production software
Have strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js, including building and consuming APIs at scale
Have strong experience with PostgreSQL, meaning you can design a sane schema and know why your query is slow
Have strong experience with Python, particularly for scraping, automation, or data and AI workloads
Have a solid working understanding of LLMs: prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, token and cost tradeoffs, and where models fail
Understand the software development lifecycle end to end and can take a feature from ambiguous idea to deployed, monitored code
Have experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD
Can navigate ambiguity and are product-oriented, focused on what the customer actually needs rather than waiting for a perfect spec
You Might Be a Great Fit If You
Have startup experience and/or have launched side projects / SaaS businesses publicly
Have fine-tuned models or built evaluation harnesses for LLM output quality
Have worked on agentic systems: tool use, orchestration, retries, and failure handling
Want to eventually launch your own startup

How to Apply
Send us your resume along with links to anything you've built: GitHub, side projects, launched products, or an integration you hacked together for a customer that you're unreasonably proud of. We care far more about what you've shipped (and who you shipped it for) than where you've worked.
