About Clutch:

We’re on a mission to reinvent the way people buy, sell, and own cars. Are you game?

Clutch is Canada’s largest online used car retailer, delivering a seamless, hassle-free car-buying experience to drivers everywhere. Customers can browse hundreds of cars from the comfort of their home, get the right one delivered to their door, and enjoy peace of mind with our 10-Day Money-Back Guarantee… and that’s just the beginning.

Named six years in a row to the Globe & Mail’s list of the Top Growing Companies in Canada and also awarded spots on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ and Fast 500™ lists, we’re looking to add curious, hard-working, and driven individuals to our growing team.

Headquartered in Toronto, Clutch was founded in 2017 and currently services Ontario and the Maritimes. Clutch is backed by a number of world-class investors including D1 Capital Partners, Canaan, BrandProject, Real Ventures, Upper90, FJ Labs, Global Founders Capital, and Azure Capital Partners.

About the Role:

We are looking for Automotive Apprentice Service Technicians to join our reconditioning facility team! In this role, you will help ensure vehicles are inspected and repaired according to Clutch’s standards. You will coordinate with the reconditioning team, track repair progress, and assist in keeping our workflow efficient and organized.

What You’ll Do:

Review repair and maintenance needs for vehicles in our reconditioning facility.
Coordinate minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks with the mechanic team.
Track repair schedules, updates, and documentation in internal systems.
Communicate with management and team members regarding repair status.
Support high-volume workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain organized records of repair and maintenance activities.
Identify and help resolve discrepancies between repair estimates, progress, and standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or automotive program background is an asset.
Experience: Minimum 3 years as an apprentice automotive technician.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and professional communication.
License: Valid driver’s license (minimum G2).
Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Location: Ability to commute to Mississauga.
Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs.

Other Items to Note:

Communication: Frequent interaction with management and reconditioning teams.
Problem Resolution/Analysis: Identify workflow or repair issues and escalate when needed.
Team/Individual Contributor: Balance independent tasks with coordination of team activities.
Working Conditions: On-site role in a reconditioning facility.

It’d be Great if You Have:

Previous administrative or automotive support experience.
Familiarity with automotive repair terminology or shop operations.
Experience using scheduling, workflow, or task management tools.

Why You’ll Love it at Clutch:

Autonomy & ownership – opportunity to build your process and influence the company workforce at every level.
Help shape the future of car buying and selling in Canada by leading a critical part of our reconditioning workflow.
Broad ownership over vehicle repair coordination during a phase of rapid growth.
Competitive compensation and top-of-market benefits.
Above-market health & dental coverage starting from day one.

Employment Type:
Existing, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits:
Wage: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, and dependent coverage starting day one
