Original job description

About Clutch:

We’re on a mission to reinvent the way people buy, sell, and own cars. Are you game?

Clutch is Canada’s largest online used car retailer, delivering a seamless, hassle-free car-buying experience to drivers everywhere. Customers can browse hundreds of cars from the comfort of their home, get the right one delivered to their door, and enjoy peace of mind with our 10-Day Money-Back Guarantee… and that’s just the beginning.

Named to The Globe and Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for six consecutive years and also awarded spots on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ and Fast 500™ lists, we’re looking to add curious, hard-working, and driven individuals to our growing team.

Headquartered in Toronto, Clutch was founded in 2017 and currently services Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island. Clutch is backed by a number of world-class investors, including D1 Capital, Canaan, Real Ventures, BrandProject, and Upper90. To learn more, visit clutch.ca.

About the role:

As a Part-Time Retail Advisor (Inbound Field Specialist), you may be the only Clutch team member a customer ever meets in person. Our entire car-buying and selling journey happens online - so when you hand over a vehicle or run an appointment, you're the first impression, the trust-builder, and the brand.

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with people. You might come from premium retail, hospitality, tech, automotive, or anywhere else customer experience matters. You don't need to know cars - we'll teach you that. You do need to know what great service feels like.

What you’ll do:

Welcome customers and create a warm, professional, and personal experience from the moment they arrive
Build genuine connections and understand what each customer needs, going above and beyond to make the experience memorable
Represent Clutch with confidence, energy, and professionalism - handling questions, concerns, and unexpected situations with patience and good judgment
Complete customer appointments accurately and efficiently, including required paperwork and thorough notes in our customer tracking systems
Inspect vehicles carefully and document their condition with a sharp eye for detail
Support teammates and contribute wherever help is needed across Retail Operations

What we’re looking for:

Experience: 2+ years of customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, technology, automotive, or another service-oriented environment
- University and college students looking for meaningful work alongside their studies, as well as experienced part-time professionals are well suited for this role!
License: Valid G2 driver's licence
Driving Record: Clean driver's abstract with no major infractions over the past three years
Background Check: Clean criminal background check
Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada
Availability: Part-time, with weekday shifts and weekend shifts between 9:00 AM–8:00 PM.
Location: CF Markville Mall

It’d be great if you have:

Automotive experience or a genuine passion for cars is a great asset but not required
Experience in premium retail, hospitality, or lifestyle brands where customer experience is the priority
Comfort using technology and digital tools in a fast-paced environment

Why you’ll love it at Clutch:

Autonomy & ownership – opportunity to build your process and influence the company workforce and at every level.
Help shape the future of car buying and selling in Canada by leading a critical part of our customer experience.
You’ll have a broad and direct ownership over during a phase of rapid growth.
We are dedicated to attracting and retaining top talent with top-of-market compensation packages.

Employment Type:

New, Permanent Part-Time

Compensation & Benefits:

Wage: $24 per hour
Pay decisions reflect objective criteria: skills, performance, market benchmarking, responsibilities and working conditions.

Clutch is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to succeed. If you require accommodation at any stage of the interview process, please email talent@clutch.ca.
