Why We Are Hiring

To support our growing network of mortgage brokers across the Prairies, CMLS Residential is seeking a Business Development Manager, Inside Sales in Calgary. You will partner with emerging brokers to scale their business and improve conversion, gaining hands-on portfolio management experience.

Where You’ll Make An Impact

Drive Partner Relationships: Serve as the main CMLS contact for emerging broker accounts across Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, delivering a responsive, supportive experience from day one.
Empower Brokers through Education: Host virtual training and proactive calls to guide brokers on CMLS product lines, underwriting guidelines, and strategies to position our solutions.
Scale Volume & Graduate Accounts: Identify high-potential brokers within your portfolio and help them grow their business toward the $5M+ annual funded volume milestone.
Optimize Conversion & Efficiency: Keep your finger on the pulse of your pipeline, maintaining a strong look-to-book conversion rate.
Collaborate & Represent: Partner closely with Western Canadian underwriting and servicing teams to solve broker challenges, and represent CMLS at regional industry events and local networking opportunities.

What We Value

Two (2) years of experience in residential mortgage operations or mortgage sales.
You are a team player who understands that our success is built on the partnership between sales, underwriting, and risk.
You value relationships over transactions, focusing on being a trusted advisor to your broker partners.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle will be considered an asset
Possession of a Mortgage Associate or Mortgage Broker license will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary contact for emerging mortgage brokers, providing training and support to help them scale their business. They will also manage a portfolio of accounts to drive volume and improve look-to-book conversion rates.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of experience in residential mortgage operations or sales. Possession of a valid driver's license and a Mortgage Associate or Broker license are considered assets.
