Whether you're assisting at the till, pumping fuel, stocking shelves, building displays, or helping customers find what they need, you'll play an important role in keeping our store welcoming, organized, and ready to serve the community.

What You Will Be Doing

Welcome members and customers, answer questions, and provide the friendly service Riverbend Co-op is known for.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash handling and till procedures.
Stock shelves, rotate product, check expiry dates, and ensure products are available and well-presented for our customers.
Pump fuel (gasoline and diesel)
Set up and maintain merchandising displays, promotional features, and weekly flyer programs.
Assist with receiving deliveries, putting away products, and maintaining accurate pricing throughout the store.
Help keep the store and site clean, organized, and safe for both customers and team members.
Support inventory counts and other operational tasks that help keep the store running smoothly.
Follow food safety, health and safety, and company procedures while contributing to a positive team environment.

What You Will Need

A positive attitude and strong commitment to customer service.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to perform physical duties including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods (up to 50lbs).
Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
Must be 19 years of age or older to meet legal requirements for selling alcohol.
With proper training, the ability and willingness to operate equipment as required, including a forklift and preferably a telehandler.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What You'll Get

A competitive hourly wage and opportunities to pick up additional shifts when available.
Flexible scheduling that can work around school, family, farm, or other commitments.
Access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), offering confidential support and resources for you and your family.
Ongoing training and hands-on learning opportunities to help you build new skills and gain retail experience.
The opportunity to work for a locally owned Co-op that invests in the communities where we live, work, and play.
A team environment where your contributions are valued and where you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with members, customers, and coworkers.

Application Closing Date

This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates until October 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. If you have any questions, please email hr@riverbendcoop.com
