Original job description

As a File Maintenance Clerk at Ucluelet Co-op, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized service to our valued members. We prioritize establishing strong relationships with our members and fostering an environment that encourages their continued patronage. We are seeking a positive, dependable individual with a professional approach and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate pricing for all store products
Update and manage item files in the system
Ensure price changes are implemented correctly and in a timely manner
Ensure products are properly merchandised, tagged, and priced accurately.
Support marketing and promotional setups in-store
Perform administrative tasks related to product and pricing maintenance
Assist with inventory control and stock accuracy
Have a good working understanding of the till operation
Provide customer service and respond to pricing inquiries
Work collaboratively with all store Departments team

Qualifications:

Previous file maintenance experience is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work with urgency and meet deadlines
Basic computer and data entry skills
Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A secondary school diploma is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Flexibility in scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and occasional stair climbing
