Full-Time Baker

Discovery Co-operative is hiring a Full-Time Baker in our Bakery Department for our Territorial Mall located in North Battleford, SK.

What you’ll do:
•    Provide an exceptional level of customer service.
•    Maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all Discovery Co-op, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards. 
•    Be responsible for the production of goods in a scratch-to-finish bakery including ordering, receiving, measuring, baking, decorating, displaying, and pricing. 
•    May update and train all existing and new team members on proper techniques, new items, and ensuring correct procedures are followed.
•    Perform general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.

Who you are: You are looking for a career in Retail and:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be available to work evenings, nights and weekends.
• Grade 12 is required.
• Postgraduate degree/diploma in baking from a recognized post secondary institute
• Journeyperson Baker
• 2+ years of bakery experience
• Co-operative retail experience is an asset
• Cake decorating experience is an asset
• Safe Food Handling Certificate is required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
