Who we are:

The Opportunity:
Our Management Trainee program helps aspiring leaders build the people, operational,
and business skills needed to manage a department. You will learn through hands-on
experience, coaching, and increasing responsibility. The program is expected to take
approximately 18 months, depending on your progress, performance, and business
needs.
For this opportunity, your development will focus on Grocery. Reporting to the Grocery
Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Grocery operations: Learn ordering, receiving, pricing, promotions, merchandising,
inventory management, stock rotation, shrink control, and department standards.
• Customer experience: Support product availability and customer service while
maintaining effective displays, signage, cleanliness, and promotional execution.
• Team leadership: Help coordinate daily work, train and coach employees, provide
feedback, support scheduling, and build a positive, accountable team.
• Business performance: Learn to use sales, margins, labour, inventory, expenses,
and shrink results to improve department performance.
• Department management: Take on more responsibility for planning, decisions,
people leadership, and daily operations as your capability develops.

Who you are:
You are interested in building a career in retail management and motivated by the
opportunity to develop both your leadership capability and business knowledge. You bring:
• Previous retail experience, preferably within grocery, food retail, or a related
environment.
• At least one year of supervisory, team lead, or other people leadership experience.
• A genuine interest in developing into a people leadership and management role.
• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• The ability to learn quickly, take initiative, receive feedback, and apply new
learning.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and statutory
holidays as required.
