Role Description: The Mutual Fund Specialist is a full-time role based in Courtice, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows for a combination of in-office and work-from-home days. In this role, the specialist will provide mutual fund and investment advice to clients, conduct needs assessments, and recommend appropriate wealth solutions aligned with clients’ financial goals and risk tolerance. This is a sales focused position with high upside potential, commission based compensation. Typical responsibilities include reviewing client portfolios, analyzing market trends, preparing proposals, and processing mutual fund transactions in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. The Mutual Fund Specialist will collaborate closely with financial advisors and other team members, maintain accurate client records, and ensure a high standard of client service and follow-up. The role also involves staying current on mutual fund products, investment strategies, and industry regulations to offer informed, trustworthy guidance.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong expertise in Mutual Funds and Investments, including knowledge of product features, portfolio construction, and risk management.
Candidates should possess solid Finance and Analytical Skills to interpret market data, assess client needs, and develop appropriate investment recommendations.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly, build client relationships, and collaborate with colleagues.
Candidates should possess or be working toward relevant industry licensing or designations (e.g., mutual fund dealer license, Canadian Securities Course, or equivalent).
Candidates should possess proficiency with financial planning tools and CRM systems, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Candidates should possess the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple client priorities, and uphold high ethical and compliance standards.
Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related field is an asset, as is prior experience in wealth management or financial services.
