Tasks
- Calculate crane capacities
- Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
- Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
- Perform pre-operational inspection
- Clean and lubricate cranes
- Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials
- Perform routine maintenance work
- Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment

Calculate crane capacities and measure loads for rigging and hoisting. Operate mobile, tower, bridge, and overhead cranes; inspect, clean, lubricate, maintain, and assemble hoisting and rigging equipment.
Requirements
A secondary school graduation certificate is listed, and experience is an asset. An Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is required; experience with climbing, fixed or limited-mobility, and hydraulic or telescoping-boom cranes is relevant.
