Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto , ON. Total Compensation
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $80000– $115000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
- Azure (ingestion/extraction),python, ETL, Unix, SQL,Shell scripting, pyspark, synapse, ADB, ADLS experience
- BA hands-on experience in data analysis/data warehouse/data integration through agile environment.
- Able to resolve issues in a timely manner, provide options and recommendations.
- Building data quality checks and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence.
- Experience with Data Lake/ Azure Data Factory, python, SQL Server, Tableau/ Power BI.
- Good understanding of Data Security Classifications, metadata management principles
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical skills to analyse, model and interpret data.
- Able to prioritize requirements, change requests for Business and work with Project team/Scrum Master in determining how best to address them.
- Current state analysis through reverse engineering, identify source & downstream systems.
- Experience with requirements development involving requirements elicitation, analysis, documenting user stories.
- Capturing Data Lineage and Data Mapping between Source and Target systems.

Responsibilities
Analyze current data systems through reverse engineering, identify source and downstream systems, and document requirements, user stories, data mappings, and lineage. Build data quality checks and complex SQL queries, resolve issues, and collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to prioritize and deliver data integration solutions.
Requirements
Requires hands-on business analysis experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or data integration within an Agile environment, along with strong SQL and data analysis skills. Candidates should be able to develop requirements, assess data security classifications and metadata, and work with tools and platforms such as Azure, Python, Jira, and Confluence.
