Full Stack Technical Lead (Angular/Java)

About The Role

As a Full Stack Technical Lead (Angular/Java), you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications supporting critical banking platforms. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, business stakeholders, product owners, and project managers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack applications using Angular, Java, and related technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development team members while ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Design and develop REST and SOAP-based services and APIs that support enterprise-scale business applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, estimate work, prioritize backlogs, and support Agile delivery processes.
• Drive continuous integration, deployment, code quality, and performance improvements through modern DevOps practices and tools.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote at a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular and modern web application development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful and SOAP web services and APIs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, and estimation practices.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus.
• Strong experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2, including SQL and PL/SQL development.

• Experience with Node.js and modern full stack development practices.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with big data or distributed technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra.
• Experience integrating third-party vendor solutions and collaborating with external technology partners.
• Experience serving as a technical subject matter expert and providing consultation to business and technology stakeholders.
  
  

Salary Transparency (Canada)

The annual salary for this position is between CAD $72,000 and CAD $126,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. Compensation decisions are based on several factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, certifications, and business needs.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for other compensation and benefits available to Cognizant associates in Canada.
