Job Title: BI Platform Operations Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid/Onsite as per client requirement)
Type: Contract
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Job Summary

Collabera is seeking a BI Platform Operations Engineer to support a large Canadian pension fund's BI-as-a-Service team. This role focuses on production support, platform operations, incident management, and troubleshooting across Tableau, AWS QuickSight, and the organization's custom BI platform.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administration, monitoring, and production support for Tableau and AWS QuickSight environments, including dashboards, permissions, configurations, and issue resolution.

Troubleshoot and resolve BI platform incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive issues through to successful resolution.

Support the BI-as-a-Service platform built on AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, and Terraform.

Investigate backend issues involving Python scripts, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based deployments.

Coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams during high-impact incidents to minimize operational disruption.

Support the organization's migration from Tableau to AWS QuickSight by ensuring platform stability, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.

Required Skills

Strong Tableau Administration and Production Support experience (infrastructure, permissions, dashboards, troubleshooting).

Hands-on AWS QuickSight administration and support experience.

Working knowledge of Python and APIs for troubleshooting and issue investigation.

Experience with Production Support, Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis.

Strong communication skills with the ability to independently manage critical production incidents.

Exposure to AWS services, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD environments is highly preferred.
