The expected base salary range for this position is $80/Hr - $90/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a high-performing Equity Linked Technology team responsible for building innovative pre-trade solutions for Equity Derivatives products.
The role involves designing and developing scalable microservices, working on low-latency distributed systems, handling large datasets, and contributing to the modernization of a microservice-oriented architecture.
The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office users, business stakeholders, and senior technology teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.
This position offers significant influence over architecture, design decisions, and the future technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a deep understanding of the firm's Equity Derivatives technology ecosystem.
Design, develop, and enhance Python-based server-side applications and services.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
Design scalable and maintainable software solutions aligned with business requirements.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to future platform design.
Work collaboratively within Agile/Scrum teams.
Develop unit, integration, and acceptance tests following Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
Collaborate with QA teams to define and implement acceptance testing strategies.
Support CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment automation.
Provide Level III production support and troubleshooting.
Partner with business users, platform teams, and technology stakeholders.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

Strong Python development experience.
Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience developing Microservices architectures.
Experience working with large-scale datasets.
Strong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.
Experience with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Acceptance Testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Experience:

Equity Derivatives or Capital Markets domain experience.
Front Office trading systems exposure.
Low-latency/high-performance application development.
Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerization.
Experience mentoring developers and driving technical design.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Self-starter with proactive mindset.
Ability to drive technical discussions and architecture decisions.
