Job Summary
The College of New Caledonia is recruiting for a full time faculty appointment in the Dental Hygiene program. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering years one and two of the program and will teach theory courses.
You will be part of an education team at CNC , engaged in contributing to and supporting students’ and the College’s vision, Strategic Plan, Educational Plan and goals. In addition, you will contribute to a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that allows you to interact with students, co-workers, management and external partners.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum:
- Licensing with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals ( BCCOHP )or eligibility for licensure with BCCOHP .
- BC Provincial Instructor
- Diploma Program ( PIDP ) or similar courses. Candidates enrolled in but not completed the PIDP will be considered.
- 3 years of recent, full-time experience in the dental hygiene profession.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Computer literacy including use of electronic learning platforms.
- A combination of education and teaching experience will be considered
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to dental hygiene education (example: bachelors in dental hygiene, education, sciences). Candidates enrolled in but not completed in a bachelor’s degree program will be considered.
- Master’s Degree in a related field of study.
- Licensed Dental Hygienist ©.
