Colonnade BridgePort (www.colonnadebridgeport.ca) is a leading real estate investment, management and development company in Ottawa, with a growing presence across Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. We provide investment management, asset management, property management, leasing and development services. Our continued expansion into Québec has created an opportunity for a full-time, Data & Business Intelligence Analyst at our Ottawa office.

DATA & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Location – Ottawa, Ontario

Work Arrangement – Hybrid, 3 days per week from our head office

Employment Type – 1-year full-time contract

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Interim Data & Business Intelligence Analyst will take ownership of an established Microsoft-based data, reporting, and analytics environment. This hands-on role supports internal users and external client-facing reporting by maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting the full data lifecycle - from source systems and integrations through the SQL data warehouse to Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, and end-user solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical resources, and leadership to deliver accurate, secure, reliable, and accessible information. This is a full-time interim contract based in Ottawa, with a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office. The expected salary range is C$70,000–C$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations, row-level security, refresh processes, and Power BI Embedded solutions.
Develop and support complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, database objects, and the organization’s SQL data warehouse and reporting infrastructure.
Maintain and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes, Azure Data Factory pipelines, scheduled integrations, and connections among SQL databases, Salesforce, SharePoint, Azure services, and other enterprise applications.
Support SharePoint Online lists, forms, permissions, reporting solutions, client-facing portals, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps solutions.
Investigate data discrepancies, refresh failures, authentication and connectivity issues, and integration errors; identify root causes and independently implement or coordinate effective resolutions.
Protect data quality, accuracy, integrity, consistency, security, and authorized access across systems and reporting solutions.
Translate business and client reporting needs into scalable analytical solutions, process improvements, and workflow enhancements.
Provide operational support, maintain technical documentation, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and reporting modernization initiatives.

Qualifications:

Five or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, or a related role.
College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Expert-level Power BI experience, including dashboard development, semantic modelling, DAX, row-level security, embedded reporting, and performance optimization.
Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, relational database design, ETL/ELT processes, and Azure Data Factory.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, and Power Query, including connectivity, authentication, gateways, permissions, and security concepts.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data, reporting, refresh, connectivity, and integration issues across an end-to-end reporting environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Salesforce integrations or similar integration tools, Azure SQL Database, REST APIs, data migration or system implementation projects, and real estate, property management, or financial reporting environments is considered an asset.
