Original job description

Colonnade BridgePort (www.colonnadebridgeport.ca) is a leading real estate investment, management and development company in Ottawa, with a growing presence across Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. We provide investment management, asset management, property management, leasing and development services. Our continued expansion into Québec has created an opportunity for a full-time, IT Applications & Support Specialist at our Ottawa office.

IT APPLICATIONS & SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Applications & Support Specialist provides hands-on application and technical support across the organization. Approximately 80% of the role is focused on application support, with a strong focus on Yardi and Salesforce, with the remaining 20% dedicated to general IT support. They work with users to troubleshoot issues, manage access and configuration needs, support updates and new functionality, and identify opportunities to improve system performance and the user experience. General IT support includes Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Windows, mobile devices, hardware, connectivity, and employee onboarding and offboarding. As part of a small IT team, they provide responsive service, clear documentation and user guidance, and escalate complex issues to internal or external resources as required.

Responsibilities:

Application Support

Provide day-to-day support for Yardi and Salesforce, helping employees resolve application issues and questions related to functionality, access, permissions, and configuration.
Support Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Windows, and other business applications.
Troubleshoot application issues, identify appropriate solutions, and work with vendors or third-party providers when escalation is required.
Assist with application updates, changes, testing, and implementation of new functionality.
Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience and efficiency.
Maintain appropriate documentation of technical issues, solutions, procedures, and processes.
Stay current with existing and emerging technologies relevant to the organization.

General IT Support

Set up, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, monitors, printers, peripherals, software, and connectivity.
Assist with new employee onboarding and offboarding, including preparing equipment, accounts, applications, and access.
Assist employees with day-to-day IT questions and technical issues.
Perform troubleshooting of networks, routers, access points, and Wi-Fi.
Maintain and manage IT equipment and related inventory.
Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager or appropriate external resources when required.

Qualifications:

3–5 years of experience in application, systems, or IT support, including supporting business applications and users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
College diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Hands-on experience supporting Yardi and/or Salesforce is highly preferred; candidates with strong application support experience will also be considered.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, Entra, and Intune.
Experience supporting iPhones and Android devices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, follow established priorities and processes, and manage multiple requests and deadlines.
A hands-on, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn new technologies and identify how they can improve the workplace.
Basic networking knowledge, including routers, access points, Wi-Fi, and printers.
Assets include experience with Yardi modules, configurations, integrations, or troubleshooting; familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies; and experience working with third-party technology vendors and application providers.
