Role Description This full-time, on-site Steel Fabricator role is based in Kelowna, BC. The Steel Fabricator will cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to technical drawings and specifications, using appropriate tools and fabrication equipment. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and marking materials, operating grinders and power tools, performing basic welding or fitting as required, and ensuring all finished products meet quality and safety standards. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace, safely handling and moving materials (including forklift use where applicable), and collaborating with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule. The Steel Fabricator is also expected to follow all health and safety policies, report equipment issues, and participate in ongoing training as needed.
Qualifications

• Strong metalworking skills, including cutting, shaping, and fabricating steel components.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for measuring, marking, and assembly tasks.
• Experience with grinding equipment for finishing and preparing metal surfaces.
• Ability to safely operate power tools commonly used in fabrication environments.
• Competence in forklift operation and safe material handling (certification an asset).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Previous experience in steel fabrication, metalwork, or a related industrial role preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade training or certification is an advantage.
