Commissionaires BC is looking for an experienced Security Professional to join our team at Kelowna Airport. If you have security experience, excellent communication skills, and are looking to grow your career, we encourage you to apply!
Position Available:
Permanent Part time: Friday to Sunday 3pm till 11pm
OR
Permanent Casual: Saturday and Sunday 10pm till 6am
Payrate: $23.18/hr
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Completing interior and exterior patrols of the airport
- Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
- Access Control
- CCTV Monitoring
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Effectively communicating with other staff about problems and concerns
- Supporting the Site Supervisor as required
- BC Security License with previous security experience
- You have resided in Canada for 5+ years and have the ability to successfully obtain a government clearance (RAIC)
- BC Class 5 Driver's License with clear driver's abstract
- Comfortable using a computer
- Excellent problem solving skills
- You can work under pressure
- Able to stand and walk for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
- OFA(occupational First Aid) Level 1

Responsibilities
Conduct interior and exterior airport patrols, manage access control and CCTV monitoring, and provide customer service to clients and the public. Respond to emergencies and conflicts, maintain accurate logs and incident reports, communicate concerns to staff, and support the Site Supervisor.
Requirements
Applicants must have a BC Security License and previous security experience, have lived in Canada for at least five years and be able to obtain RAIC government clearance, and hold a BC Class 5 driver's license with a clear abstract. They must be comfortable using computers, have strong problem-solving and communication skills, work well under pressure, and be able to stand and walk for extended periods indoors and outdoors; Occupational First Aid Level 1 is preferred.
