Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at Comox Valley Dodge in Courtenay, BC. The Salesperson will greet and engage customers in the showroom, assess their needs, and present appropriate vehicle options and features. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting test drives, explaining pricing and financing options, preparing quotations, and guiding customers through the purchase process. The role also involves following up with leads, maintaining accurate records in the dealership’s systems, and collaborating with finance and service teams to ensure a smooth customer experience. The Salesperson is expected to build long-term relationships, meet individual and team sales targets, and uphold dealership standards of professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, including active listening, clear communication, and a consultative approach to understanding buyer needs.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the capacity to present vehicle features, handle objections, and close sales ethically and effectively.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment, with strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with computers and dealership software for managing customer information, leads, and sales documentation.
- Interest in and ability to learn automotive products, features, and industry trends to provide informed guidance to customers.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work as part of a team with finance, service, and management staff.
- Previous sales or customer-facing experience in automotive or related retail environments is an asset.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on dealership needs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, suitable for conducting customer test drives.
