Job Summary
How you will make an impact: You will be responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly, and performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning carpets and furniture, washing walls and glass, high-dusting, and removing rubbish.

How you will make an impact: You will be responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly, and performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning carpets and furniture, washing walls and glass, high-dusting, and removing rubbish.
As a Custodian/ Janitor, You Will:
- Vacuum & shampoo carpets and furniture upholstery following approved procedures;
- Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures;
- Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement;
- Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment;
- Wash high-touch areas, walls, glass, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for clients and staff;
- High dusting of all horizontal surfaces, including desks, cabinets, shelving units, and other areas;
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task;
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Previous housekeeping/custodian and carpet cleaning experience is an asset;
- WHMIS awareness is an asset;
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written;
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities
Clean and maintain assigned building areas, including carpets, furniture, floors, walls, glass, and high-touch surfaces, using approved procedures and equipment. Move furniture and equipment as needed, identify areas requiring attention, and complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Previous housekeeping, custodial, or carpet-cleaning experience and WHMIS awareness are assets. Candidates should have a good command of spoken and written English, follow written and verbal instructions, work independently and as part of a team, and be physically able to perform the job.
