Job Summary

You will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to guest rooms

Waitstaff Qualifications/Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of a high-volume restaurant setting

Education, Experience, And Licensing Requirements
Minimum one (1) year experience in a food service environment
Current smart serve certification as required by the province of Ontario
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests as they come into the dining area and providing them with immediate attention.
- Answers the phone in a professional manner throughout the shift to make reservations/take room service orders.
- Communicates shift progress to the supervisor on shift.
- Ensures the organization of side stations and storage areas.
- Serves meals to guests in their guest room.
- Executes service in accordance with standards set out by the client.
- Attends to the details of each guest.
- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Ensures smooth seating of guests in the restaurant.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
- Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules.
- Listens to customer complaints and work to resolve them.
- Implements suggestions within parameter of position and refers more complex concerns to supervisor.
- Coordinates daily food/beverage supply inventory. Submits order to executive Chef/Sous Chef.
- Assists with orienting new employees to their work area.
- Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme activities in collaboration with other employees.
- Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per the laid-out specs.
- Serves alcoholic beverages to guests based on the Smart Serve principles.
- Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
