Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Security Technology / Delivery Engineer to lead the end-to-end engineering, validation and deployment of an enterprise
Genetec-based security platform. The role will focus on integrating video, access control, intrusion and intercom technologies and establishing a scalable model for enterprise production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution design from POC through production deployment.
- Design and integrate Genetec with access control platforms such as Mercury and HID, video and analytics platforms such as Axis, intrusion and intercom systems.
- Develop scalable enterprise architecture, integration patterns and deployment standards.
- Execute and validate integrated Genetec POCs, including video, analytics, access control, intrusion and intercom.
- Develop testing scenarios, document results, track issues and remediation, and provide recommendations for enterprise rollout.
- Deploy and configure Genetec solutions, including CCTV, analytics, access control, alerts, automation and operational workflows.
- Develop L0/L1/L2 runbooks, incident response procedures, monitoring and alerting playbooks, break/fix procedures and escalation workflows.
- Support AI-enabled capabilities such as anomaly detection, alert correlation, operational monitoring and workflow automation.
- Develop RFP/SOW documentation, technical requirements and vendor evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate with Genetec, access control, camera/analytics and other technology vendors.
- Define vendor SLAs, support models, ownership and accountability frameworks.
- Produce requirements and design documentation covering architecture, integrations, security considerations and system interfaces.
- Provide onsite and remote deployment, troubleshooting, stabilization and post-production support.
- Establish and transition an L1/L2/L3 and vendor support model to operational teams.
- Coordinate delivery across Corporate Security, Facilities, Technology and Procurement.
- Track project status, risks, issues and dependencies and provide executive-level reporting.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to Security and Facilities teams.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong experience with Genetec Security Center and enterprise security technology platforms.
- Experience integrating video surveillance, access control, intrusion and intercom systems.
- Experience with Mercury/HID access control technologies.
- Experience with Axis cameras and video analytics.
- Proven experience taking security technology solutions from POC through production deployment.
- Strong solution architecture, systems integration and technical design experience.
- Experience developing technical documentation, RDDs, runbooks, workflows and operational support models.
- Experience working with multiple technology vendors and systems integrators.
- Strong troubleshooting, deployment and stabilization experience.
- Experience with enterprise security, compliance and governance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional delivery skills.
- Experience with automation and AI-enabled security/operations capabilities is an asset.
Engagement Expectations
The resource will be accountable for
end-to-end delivery across solution design, POC validation, deployment, documentation, operational readiness, vendor coordination and stabilization.
Success will be measured by the completion and quality of defined deliverables, including:
- Fully operational Genetec enterprise platform
- Validated enterprise-scale architecture and deployment model
- Successful POC-to-production transition
- Standardized runbooks and operational workflows
- Clear multi-vendor ownership and support model
- Successful transition to steady-state Operations
