Job title: Intermediate Java AWS Developer

Location: Downtown Calgary, On-site, 5 days per week

Duration: Long term

Interview: 2 rounds, 1st round is 1 hour – technical , 2nd round - 45 minutes, with HM

Ideal profile: A 4–8 year developer who has recently built AWS serverless applications using Lambda + Step Functions + Java/Spring Boot + TypeScript + Terraform and can explain their own hands-on work in detail.

Project:

Client is looking for an AWS-based application developer to build and support serverless, event-driven and integration-heavy applications. The developer will work on backend services, AWS Lambda/Step Functions, Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and Terraform in an enterprise environment.

What Client Is Looking For:

  • Intermediate, hands-on developer - actively coding, not an Architect/DevOps/Manager.
  • Strong AWS + Lambda + Step Functions experience.
  • Java + Spring Boot for backend development.
  • TypeScript development experience.
  • Terraform / IaC experience.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
  • Comfortable with production support, troubleshooting, Agile, GitHub/Jira/Confluence.
  • Strong communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week in Downtown Calgary.
