JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team, focused on designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade Azure data and analytics platforms, including Power BI. The Platform Engineering team is looking for a senior engineer to support and manage enterprise platforms across Azure, Power BI, Informatica, Databricks, and ADF. The team is currently focused on platform modernization, cloud migrations, version upgrades, Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives, and support for emerging AI/LLM platforms. This is not a Data Engineer role and not an Azure provisioning role. The focus is platform ownership, administration, support, upgrades, governance, and troubleshooting enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned platform engineer who can work independently, provide technical guidance to junior team members, and collaborate closely with Data Engineering and AI Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Jenkins
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Support and optimize Power BI platform environments
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on scalable, cost-effective architectures
- Troubleshoot platform issues and provide operational support
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience
- Proficiency in core Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, API Management
- Strong Azure networking knowledge (VNets, Private Endpoints, NSGs, DNS)
- Hands-on Terraform experience for IaC
- Jenkins, GitHub & GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD
- Power BI platform administration and deployment experience
- Data engineering fundamentals (pipelines, data lakes, ingestion patterns)
- Platform Engineering experience
- Power BI platform administration, not dashboard development
- Experience installing and configuring Power BI Gateways
- Troubleshooting gateway connectivity and refresh failures
- Managing workspaces, permissions, and platform access
- Resolving authentication and data source connectivity issues
- Strong Azure platform support and administration experience
- Terraform and Jenkins expertise
- Experience supporting Informatica platforms
- Hands-on exposure to Databricks and ADF environments
- Power BI Gateway administration and troubleshooting experience
- Cloud migration and modernization experience
- DR/Business Continuity exposure
- AI/LLM platform awareness
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
