Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer for a 186-day contract with Justice Technology Services to support the Victim Notification System (VNS) Modernization Project. This strategic digital transformation initiative replaces aging legacy technology with a secure, accessible vendor Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform integrated with the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead software development, system integration, and technical design for the VNS SaaS solution integrated with OTIS.
- Build secure self-service portal functionality enabling victims to register, manage preferences, and view notifications online.
- Implement multi-channel communication pipelines including automated email, SMS, and telephone notifications.
- Ensure system design adheres strictly to Ontario Public Sector (OPS) accessibility (AODA), privacy, and security requirements.
- Streamline backend workflows, reporting capabilities, and automated data synchronization with OTIS.
