Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON

In this position, you’ll be based in the Toronto (Bay Street) office. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with flexible hours typically from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

We're looking for interns who can join us from June 7 to August 13, 2027, and ideally stay through August 27, 2027. Following the internship, there may be opportunities to return for another internship or join us full-time after graduation.

We give you a world of potential

We're a global leader in financial administration with over 11,000 employees across 22 different countries. Our internships offer a structured summer experience for talented undergraduate students who are passionate about pursuing a career in financial services.

You'll gain hands-on knowledge of working in a global organization as part of our Corporate Trust business line, collaborating with seasoned professionals who are experts in their fields.

Computershare Corporate Trust is a market leader with decades of experience as a provider of trustee and sophisticated agency services. A corporate trustee is a business that works to ensure that other companies adhere to the terms of their loan agreements. We also safeguard the interests of bondholders, acting as an intermediary to ensure fairness and accuracy. Our business is a market leader in this field, with decades of experience and a best-in-class reputation built on our high-touch approach to client service.

A role you will love

Launch your career with an internship on our Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) Administration team, where you'll gain real-world experience supporting the administration of structured finance transactions and mortgage-backed securities programs.

As a Mortgage-Backed Securities Administrator Intern, you'll work alongside industry professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help support activities that are critical to the administration of mortgage-backed securities transactions. You'll gain exposure to transaction administration, document review, data management, reporting processes, client support activities, and operational procedures that help ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the lifecycle of structured finance transactions.

You'll have the opportunity to assist with maintaining transaction records, reviewing documentation, monitoring key transaction requirements, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day administrative activities. Through these experiences, you'll develop valuable skills in financial services operations, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and process execution.

You'll also participate in dedicated learning sessions, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and build valuable skills that will help set you apart as you start your career.

Whether you're exploring a future in financial services, corporate trust, structured finance, or operations, this internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your professional network and strengthen your skills that will set you apart as you start your career.

What will you bring to the role?

We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are passionate about building a career in financial services and operations. If you enjoy solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to have you on our team!

Other Key Skills You'll Bring To The Role

Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program (Fall 2027 - Spring 2029 graduates)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Strong initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Proactive goal achievement and effective time management to meet critical deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Enrollment in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
Impactful involvement through work, academic leadership, volunteerism or activism within the community

Why Join Us?

We aim for a welcoming, supportive and close-knit community, with experienced colleagues ready to help you grow
You'll get real-world experience, build new skills, and learn how our business works
You'll learn from seasoned professionals in financial services who'll guide you and help shape your career
You'll have the chance to work on community projects that reflect our Being Purple values
If successful, you may be offered a full-time position with us on graduation
The base pay for this role is $23.50 CAD per hour. This base pay range is specific to Toronto and may not be applicable to other locations.
We're not able to offer a relocation package for this role, so we're looking for candidates who are already based in Toronto or able to commute there.
