Original job description

At Conexus, we are focused on supporting our members with their needs of today, while also helping them pursue their goals for the future. It’s more than conducting a banking transaction, it’s about providing insightful content, tools, expert advice, and a full suite of products to inspire confidence in their financial decision-making. We prioritize performance excellence, and our employees champion each member’s success, ultimately contributing to a thriving province.

We are curious, courageous, confident and committed. Our values ensure we consistently deliver outstanding member experiences. As employees, we are more than just individuals who come to work each day, each role is a vital part of Conexus.

As of January 1, 2026, Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy credit unions have merged into one provincial credit union serving over 200,000 members in 57 branches across 50 Saskatchewan communities.

We acknowledge that our Conexus offices and facilities are located on Treaty 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 lands. These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.

The bigger picture
We have a Financial Services Representative opportunity at our La Ronge branch. You are one of the first people our members encounter at the branch. You will help them with whatever they are looking for or guide them to identify services and solutions they may not yet be aware of. Our Member Advisors serve our members through various channels: in person, digitally or by phone.

Don’t have banking experience? Not to worry; we have a great training program! This is an excellent opportunity for the customer service focused professional who has experience in retail, hospitality, or financial services.

If you love helping people, enjoy a fast paced, professional environment, and want to grow your skills, or begin your career in financial services!

How you’ll be spending your time
• Greet our members and provide them with the services they seek,
• Process transactions,
• Provide troubleshooting and guidance around the use of our technology products or any other challenges a member may have,
• Highlight and promote our credit union products and solutions,
• Engage in proactive member communication by participating in outbound calling, credit union promotions, campaigns, and other creative strategies,
• Identify suspicious transactions or interactions and respond appropriately.

The experience you bring
• Customer service experience
• Sales skills
• Experience handling cash and completing financial transactions
• Tech savviness and a love for technology
• A desire to learn in a culture that embraces ongoing learning and development
• Enjoyment in working with the public – by engaging and providing assistance to meet our members’ needs.

The way people describe you
• An engaging person, who builds trust and working relationships with ease
• A team player who takes pride in serving our members and creating exceptional experiences
• A reliable individual that shows up for themselves and the team
• A communicator, who takes a genuine interest in people and is good at listening
• A detail oriented individual who is meticulous in their work and values accuracy

Salary Range
$43,370 - $51,020 with a 6% Short Term Incentive Target

Benefits and Perks
The success of our members relies heavily on the performance and accomplishments of our employees. That’s why we prioritize offering our team a variety of perks and benefits designed to support their success and well-being both at work and in their personal lives. Some of these additional benefits may include, but are not limited to:
• Preferred rates for all your banking needs, helping to make life more affordable.
• Vacation benefits, giving you time to spend on what’s most important to you.
• Competitive benefit package options covering all aspects of personal wellness.
• Pension matching to support you toward retirement.

We are excited to welcome candidates who bring a blend of academic, professional and volunteer experience that sets them apart. Research shows that many applicants tend to apply only when they meet every qualification of the role. However, we encourage you to explore opportunities that closely match your skillset and experience. We truly value diverse backgrounds and varied experiences, as we are dedicated to creating inclusive and diverse workplaces. You might just be the ideal addition to our team that we’ve been searching for! This opportunity closes on November 11, 2026 so apply now! If you have questions about this position, please contact Leslie Bensch at jobs@conexus.ca.
