The bigger picture

We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative, and proactive leader to come on board as our Manager, Treasury Risk. In this role, you’ll provide leadership and subject matter expertise over Conexus’ balance sheet risk management functions, including cash management, liquidity risk management, asset liability management, and interest-based pricing. You’ll play an important role in helping ensure risks and opportunities affecting the balance sheet are identified, analyzed, and optimized in alignment with Conexus’ strategy, policies, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations.

How you’ll be spending your time

Leading the development and execution of treasury risk management strategies related to cash, liquidity, asset liability management, interest rate risk, and interest-based pricing.
Monitoring internal and external environments to identify emerging balance sheet risks and opportunities.
Providing expert advice and recommendations to senior leadership on treasury-related risk matters.
Overseeing liquidity risk management frameworks, including liquidity policies and risk tolerances, stress testing, contingency planning, market access, and related monitoring and reporting.
Supporting and maintaining key treasury risk plans and frameworks.
Providing oversight of asset liability management frameworks, assumptions, scenario analysis, and reporting to support sound balance sheet decision-making.
Ensuring interest rate risk is measured, monitored, and managed within approved risk tolerance thresholds.
Providing oversight of interest-based pricing across loan and deposit products to support financial performance, competitive positioning, member outcomes, and risk appetite.
Monitoring market conditions, competitive dynamics, pricing trends, and internal performance drivers to inform pricing recommendations and actions.
Providing business ownership and oversight of the loan pricing tool, including pricing logic, assumptions, outputs, exception frameworks, and related governance.
Supporting ALCO and other governance forums through timely, clear, and well-documented risk reporting and analysis.
Overseeing scenario-based planning, stress testing, and financial risk analysis to support forecasting, capital planning, and ICAAP.
Providing daily oversight of cash and foreign exchange management to ensure related strategies comply with policy, regulation, and governance standards.
Leading, coaching, and developing Treasury Risk team members.

The experience you bring

Professional financial designation, accounting designation, or graduate-level education in finance or accounting, such as CFA, CPA, MBA, MPAcc, or MSc.
Minimum of five years of experience in a complex financial environment.
Strong knowledge of treasury risk management, including cash management, liquidity risk management, asset liability management, interest rate risk, pricing, foreign exchange management, and related regulatory expectations.
Experience with financial systems software, Microsoft Office Suite, and analytical tools; knowledge of Bloomberg is considered an asset.
Strong analytical, research, facilitation, planning, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide advice and recommendations on complex financial, risk, and governance matters.
Experience leading, coaching, developing, and enabling team members.
A strong understanding of risk governance, stress testing, capital planning, ICAAP, and financial institution regulatory expectations.
