Original job description

At Thrive Wealth Management, we help clients strengthen their financial security and turn their wealth goals into reality. Our vision is to be the premier wealth management partner in every market we serve, providing personalized solutions for every stage of life – delivered by passionate professionals committed to earning trust with our clients and making a meaningful impact in their lives.

Thrive Wealth Management is a wealth management subsidiary of Conexus Credit Union serving members of credit unions and their communities. Trusted financial guidance is core to what we provide for our clients – including wealth planning, investment advice, retirement savings, estate planning, and protection advice.

We share the values that our credit union partners demonstrate, while providing the professionalism and knowledge that is vital for investment management. We conduct ourselves with integrity in everything we do, we show respect for every individual who comes through our doors, and we inspire and promote an environment of accountability. Learn more about our diverse team across Saskatchewan.

We acknowledge that our Thrive offices and facilities are located on Treaty 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 lands. These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.

The Bigger Picture

We’re looking for a Wealth Specialist to join our Thrive Wealth Management team in Macklin or Kindersley, Saskatchewan who is passionate about providing new and existing clients with holistic wealth advice and planning. In this role, you’ll work with an experienced team of credit union employees and internal colleagues to service and grow a book of business. This includes generating new opportunities through credit union referrals, colleague partnerships, and proactive prospecting for investment and planning solutions, all while maintaining professionalism and integrity and taking pride in doing what’s right for your clients.

How you’ll be spending your time:

Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients through advice-led conversations and planning-based solutions.
Providing expert advice by thoroughly understanding client goals, financial circumstances, and risk tolerance.
Identifying opportunities within existing and prospective relationships for investment, planning, and wealth solutions to grow client relationships.
Generating external business while also accessing an established pipeline of prospective clients through trusted partnership with the credit union.
Collaborating with credit union partnerships to facilitate personal introductions of clients/members who require wealth advice and planning expertise beyond the credit union’s services.
Actively networking to make referrals and introductions with Thrive and credit union partners and external professionals.
Building and growing your book of business through a sustainable client book contact plan, building your professional brand and engaging with centers of influence.

Now that you know how you will be spending your time; we will sweeten the deal. You will have the flexibility to set up your practice with access to support that will allow you to focus on advice and planning for your clients and members. This includes access to support and resources for marketing, technology, human resources, office management, and property and facilities.

The way people describe you:

You're passionate about helping people achieve financial success and take pride in building meaningful relationships along the way. Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented, you have a knack for uncovering client needs and connecting them with the right advice and solutions. Others know you as a confident networker who easily builds trust, develops referral partnerships, and creates new opportunities. Above all, you're committed to continuous learning and growth, always looking for ways to enhance your expertise and better serve your clients.

The experience you bring:

3+ years of investment and financial service experience
Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related discipline, or a combination of education and relevant experience
Demonstrated experience delivering investment advice and advice-led sales within a regulated environment
A proven track record of delivering sales results
IFIC or Canadian Securities Course and eligible to be registered to sell mutual funds
Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®) or willingness and eligibility to obtain is required

Compensation:

Comprehensive compensation including salary, commission, and bonus.

Benefits And Perks

The success of our clients relies heavily on the performance and accomplishments of our employees. That’s why we prioritize offering our team a variety of perks and benefits designed to support their success and well-being both at work and in their personal lives. Some of these additional benefits include, but are not limited to:

Generous vacation benefits with additional paid time off, giving you time to spend on what’s most important to you.
Competitive benefit package options, covering all aspects of personal wellness.
Pension matching to support you towards retirement.
Preferred rates for all your banking needs, helping to make life more affordable.
Introductions from partner credit unions -Through trusted partnerships with credit unions, you will have access to an established pipeline of prospective members and clients. These partnerships facilitate personal introductions of clients/members whose asset levels or life situations demand wealth advice and planning expertise that isn’t offered by the credit union.
Operational Costs- Thrive covers the operational cost (computers, office space/supplies, CRMs, etc.) of doing business so our team can focus on building relationships with clients and help them reach their wealth goals.

We are excited to welcome candidates who bring a blend of academic, professional, and volunteer experience that sets them apart. Research shows that many applicants only apply if they meet every qualification of the role. However, we encourage you to consider the roles that most closely align with your skillset and experience. We truly value diverse backgrounds and experiences, as we are dedicated to creating inclusive and diverse workplaces. This opportunity closes on November 16, 2026, so apply now! If you have questions about this position, please contact Aubrie Houk at jobs@conexus.ca.

Mutual funds and other securities are offered through Aviso Wealth, a division of Aviso Financial Inc.
