AI Architect / AI Technical Lead – Python, RAG, LLM & LangChain
Location: Toronto Canada
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect / Technical Lead with strong expertise in Python, Generative AI, RAG, LLMs, and LangChain to design and lead scalable AI solutions for enterprise financial-services applications. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, establish AI architecture standards, and guide engineering teams in implementing production-ready AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end AI/GenAI solutions using Python-based frameworks and libraries.
- Lead the design and implementation of RAG, LLM, and LangChain solutions for enterprise applications.
- Develop scalable architectures for AI-powered applications, intelligent automation, and LLM-based services.
- Define technical standards, architecture patterns, coding practices, and best practices for AI engineering.
- Integrate LLMs with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and knowledge sources.
- Evaluate AI technologies, frameworks, models, and tools to identify the best solutions for business requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate financial-services requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI/ML and software engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of Generative AI and AI engineering best practices across enterprise projects.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development and Python-based AI/GenAI applications.
- Strong expertise in RAG, LLMs, and LangChain.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale AI/GenAI solutions.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities with REST APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in financial services/banking is highly preferred.
