Job Description: Cybersecurity Engineer – Cyber, Data & Security
Employment Type: Contract
Role: Codewise Maintenance & Enhancements
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Python and JavaScript to support ongoing Codewise maintenance and enhancements across enterprise Cyber, Data, and Security platforms. The ideal candidate will handle bug fixes, application enhancements, troubleshooting, and developer support to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing maintenance and enhancements for enterprise applications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and frontend components using JavaScript.
- Provide technical and developer support for existing applications and systems.
- Analyze code, debug issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Support code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application performance and reliability.
- Follow established coding standards, security practices, and documentation procedures.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software development and application maintenance.
- Strong programming experience in Python and JavaScript.
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and production support.
- Understanding of REST APIs, application integration, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in Cybersecurity, Data, or Information Security environments.
- Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application performance optimization.
